Axl Xu, RMT
Axl Xu is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Algonquin College in 2025. With a deep interest in the human body and how it functions, Axl was drawn to massage therapy as a way to combine their passion for health and movement with a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Axl takes great pride in supporting patients through their rehabilitation journeys—whether they’re managing pain, reducing tension, or coping with stress. They are known for their compassionate and empathetic approach, and work collaboratively with each patient to empower them in their recovery and help them return to living pain-free and fulfilling lives. Axl’s treatment philosophy is centered around viewing the body as an integrated whole. They believe that addressing interconnected patterns of dysfunction—not just isolated symptoms—can lead to more effective and lasting therapeutic outcomes. Their goal is always to listen attentively, adapt treatment plans based on patient feedback, and support patients in reaching their personal health and wellness goals. Their skill set includes a variety of Swedish massage techniques such as effleurage and petrissage, along with relaxation-focused approaches and targeted therapeutic techniques like trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, frictioning, and myofascial release. Axl tailors each treatment to the unique needs and preferences of the patient, adjusting pressure and technique accordingly. They are committed to continual professional development and look forward to expanding their knowledge through ongoing education, workshops, and advanced training. Outside of the clinic, Axl stays active through a wide range of sports and physical activities, including rock climbing, swimming, volleyball, biking, longboarding, and downhill skiing. They also enjoy spending time in nature—whether hiking, camping, or taking a swim in the nearest lake or beach. Axl is also an avid lover of art and music of all kinds.
