Prachi Mukkannavar, PT

Prachi Mukkannavar is a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping patients restore movement, reduce pain, and achieve greater functional independence through personalized, evidence-based care. Prachi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2018 and her Master’s degree in Pediatric Physiotherapy in 2021 from the KLE Institute of Physiotherapy in India. Prachi relocated to Ottawa to start her practice as Resident Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. In 2024, Prachi became a Registered Physiotherapist with the CPO. Her interest in physiotherapy was sparked early on through her love of sports and science, particularly biomechanics. This foundation allowed her to naturally understand how the principles of physics apply to the human body and inspired her to pursue a career where she could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through hands-on care. Through CURAVITA’s collaborative, patient-centred care model, Prachi focuses on empowering patients throughout their recovery journey. She strongly believes in individualized education, active participation, and a multidisciplinary approach to care, ensuring that each treatment plan supports both recovery and long-term injury prevention. Prachi is passionate about helping patients regain pain-free movement, functional freedom, and confidence in their bodies. Prachi’s clinical skill set includes Mulligan and Maitland mobilization techniques, neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), dry needling, shockwave therapy, therapeutic taping, soft tissue and myofascial release, and cupping. She incorporates these techniques thoughtfully to support optimal outcomes tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. Outside of the clinic, Prachi enjoys weekend cooking, spending quality time with family, and staying active within the community. She loves participating in team events and challenging herself through new sports, most recently competing in the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival in 2025. Prachi’s commitment to collaborative care, hands-on treatment, and patient empowerment makes her a valued member of the CURAVITA Community of Care.
